GOOD NEWS!!!

Good News! I just received my passport and visa back! I couldn't be happier! I am so excited now things are actually starting to fall in place.  My mom and Gerry gave me a camera for Christmas that I'm finally starting to get used to and realizing all the cool features it has and my dad and Deb gave me an awesome North face rain coat that I can scrunch up really small to fit into even a purse and a blow dryer I can use over seas (which I did not realize some blow dryers and hair equipment can blow up if you try to use them  in Europe!).  I also received new tennis shoes from Dad and Deb which I need to break in and money so I can buy myself a new pair of flat boots since I was informed that the cobblestone streets in Italy with kill my high healed boots.  Woo :) I am so thankful that everything is going so well! I am getting excited, but still really scared! This is a huge leap in my life and one I never imagined taking until my best friend Becky talked me into it... so basically if I don't like it or get super homesick I'm blaming it all on you Becky ;) ha ha just kidding!

The Happenings Before Rome...

Ok, so I'm not exactly in Rome... yet.  I leave January 25th and decided I should probably start blogging early to get the hang of this.  It's 2am on December 16th and I can't sleep.  Unlike most responsible on top of their game study abroad students who applied for the visas months ago and are peacefully asleep in bed... I'm currently fretting about getting mine finished and sent in.  Yes, it can take 90 days to get back and no I don't have those 90 days which is why I must must MUST get mine in the mail tomorrow.  The reason for my delay is I have been waiting for my stupid self loan to show up on my account at school so I could get an "Official Letter" from MNSU in order to show that I am able to support myself over seas.  Ugh! This visa business is a real B*tch! Sorry about the language, but seriously, it's the most stressful thing ever.. ok, maybe not ever, but it's definitely in the top ten.  Anyways this is my blog so far and my current stressor aka applying for a student visa.  I will keep you updated with more details as I continue to create this blog :)
Sincerely,
Seriously Stressed Out College Kid
