Slept in today then went down and got breakfast to put on our cute trays and bring them back up to the room to eat. B&B's really are cute little joints! Becky and I took our time to eat while watching MTV and soaking in the last moments of our trip before we had to pack up and hit the road again. We walked to the train station this time because we now knew where it was and the weather was beautiful!
The sun was out and shining it made it hard to think of having to spend four hours on a train back to Rome. We definitely should have bought our train tickets ahead of time though because all the trains to Rome were already full and we ended up getting to sit only for the first hour to Bologna and after that we had to stand on the second train the whole way home.
It wasn't as bad as I would've imagined because they had a food cart so Becky and I got lunch stood at one of the standing tables the whole trip back writing in our journals and looking out the window. I was really happy once we got back to Rome though. It was nice to just set our heavy backpacks down and sit for a good hour before heading out again.
We made our way out again around 7pm to find some food and we found a cute restaurant that served the best eggplant parmesan! It was really good! Becky got a really good pizza too and we shared some red wine. After dinner we headed towards the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain area to look into souvenir shops. We ended up finding some cute scarves for Becky. After that I brought Becky to Della Palma my favorite gelato place because I wanted her to leave Italy on a good note of gelato not the bad stuff from Verona.
She enjoyed it just as much as I did which made me happy and she agreed that it was by far the best place yet :) After that we made our way back to my apartment because she had an early flight and wanted to pack up and everything so she was already to go in the morning.
