Day 10-Venezia-Firenze-2/6/11

Last morning in Venezia :( Sad Day!  I LOVE it here and don't want to leave!!!  We packed up our backpacks and headed down to breakfast at 9am.  After breakfast we visited the Guggenheim museum.  I would say it was definitely the least impressive place we have visited because it was a more modern art gallery and couldn't compare to everything else we had seen.  The art gallery was also very hot compared to the rest of the buildings which were freezing.  Understandable though because since the buildings and churches were so old they didn't want to pay to heat them.  We only spent about an hour at the gallery and then had a couple hours to find lunch before heading out.  We walked around in search of kebab's which are really good sandwich versions of gyros.  Unfortunately, they weren't open, but we found a place for mini pizza's/calzone things for 1 euro which was awesome.  After that we walked back by the river, grabbed our backpacks from the hotel and laid in the sun.  It was amazing to just lay by the water and relax.  Can you believe I was doing that in February?! Crazy, huh?  No big deal, just napping in jeans and a t-shirt by the grand canal.  We eventually had to leave though and got on the boat to head to the main land.  The bus ride seemed to go much fast than the way there.  I slept, listened to music, and read.  Once we got back we showered and went to dinner.  It was the super bowl, but it didn't start until midnight so we had awhile to wait before going out.  When it was finally time, we went to the fish pub and paid a 5 euro cover which got us a free hamburger :)  It wasn't the best thing in the world, but it was kind of awesome to have a hamburger again.  We only stayed until half time though because we got really sleepy and we had to be at school at 8:30am so we headed back to the hotel and went to bed.
