Day 14-Firenze-Thursday-2/10/11

Let's see... Today I had a full day of class today and then went for lunch.  I had a Panini from the amazing stand right outside the school.  It was turkey, tomato, mozzarella, and pesto yummm!  After lunch I had to go back to the school because our oral exams started at 2pm.  I was sooo nervous!  I feel like I can read and write the language, but speaking is another thing because I often mispronounce words in   Spanish rather than in Italian.  It worked out though and the professor said Molly and I did really well! Yay! :D  After our exam we hung out at the school to wait for Jo, but she slipped by us while we were on the computers on mistake.  We finally figured out she left and headed back to the hotel to meet her.  On the way we stopped and got gelato.  I had a mix of chocolate/vanilla with peanuts mmmm :)  Only bad thing is it made me miss peanut butter.  I don't understand, they have Nutella everywhere here and jam, but no peanut butter! Ugh!  I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can find them in Rome :)  After we got back to the hotel we dropped out bags off and went out to get money from the atm for our landlords and to help Jodine find some boots.  We shopped a long time and just as we were about to give up we found her the perfect boots!  I love them!  Lucky girl :)  Clara also got a skirt and tights and Molly got tights/leggings too I think.  I didn't get anything because 1. I don't really like shopping and 2. I only really shop when I'm with Kelley :) Love ya lil sis!  After shopping we headed back to the hotel, not before stopping for a bottle of wine first though.  2 Euros :)  Gotta love Italia!  Only here can you find a bottle of red wine that's actually good and only 2 Euros!  By the time we got back we had an hour before dinner so I showered and got ready went down to dinner.  We had ravioli spinach and cheese filled ravioli, turkey, gravy, and potatoes,  and an apple tart with chocolate drizzle for dessert.  It was soo good!  I just realized I don't think I have had alfredo sauce at all here.  Kinda weird, but I'm ok with it  because the pomodoro (tomato) sauce is so fresh and excellent I don't need anything else.  It is really funny sitting with Jodine at dinner because she makes friends with everyone, even the waiter, so every time he came by our table he would bring us extra food.  He brought two of the girls extra ravioli, a whole plate of extra potatoes for the table, and an extra dessert for the table.  Too funny!  After dinner we finished getting ready and went down to where the rest of the AIFS kids were.  It is literally like freshman year all over again.  Everyone packs into one hotel room before we all leave for the club.  It's definitely going to be weird when we leave in a couple days and won't have that opportunity to just walk over to someone's room because we are all splitting up into multiple apartments in multiple locations.  Mine is past the Trevi Fountain by the Spanish Steps and the furthest away from school :-/ Bummer, but I'm sure I'll get used to it and be just fine :)
