Day 12-Tuesday-Firenze-2/8/11

Woke up this morning and had some breakfast before heading off to school.  The quiz went ok I think, we haven't gotten our scores back yet so keep you're fingers crossed :)  Today was a pretty boring day.  After class I went and found a place to eat lunch with Clara.  I was craving meat so I got this bruschetta and meat platter.  Haha it was really good, only some of the meat was really salty which was kind of a bummer because I'm not a big fan of salt :-/  After lunch I went to the bank and found a straightener because I blew mine out.  I was upset, but not really because everyone kind of warned me that would happen.  Good news is my camera's working again, I don't know if I mentioned that or not, but I figured out yesterday that I could plug it into my computer to charge it so yay!!!  I don't have to buy a knew one :)  After running errands I went back to the hotel and took a nap.  Then I got online in the hotel because there was like no one in the lobby for once and talked to my mom on Skype :)  After that I went back to my room and hung out with Molly.  She wanted to go look for black flats so we left the hotel in search of them.  Only we didn't realize it was about shop close like 6ish so everywhere we looked was either closing or closed :(  We never found the flats, but we heard veal was for dinner again so instead of going back to the hotel for dinner we stopped at a cute little restaurant.  We walked in and the restaurant was full of Asian tourists.  They all had the same meal so we figured they were there with some program.  There was only two servers on an old man and a middle aged man.  The middle aged man was our waiter.  We got a prosciutto and margarita pizza to split.  I know I have pizza a ton, but seriously, I can't get over how good it is here.  Everything is super fresh from the thin pizza crust to the fresh sauce, meat and cheese!  I kept hearing this weird talking all through dinner on and off and I asked Molly every time I heard it if she did too and she didn't so I felt like a bionic eared freak.  LOL.  I figured it was one of the tourists talking that just had a loud voice near me, but after they left I could still hear it and the only tables left in the restaurant were on the opposite side of the restaurant.  It was super weird so I kept watching people to figure out when someone spoke if it matched with the voice I heard and finally I saw it!  The lady in the purple shirt directly across the restaurant from me was the voice I was hearing and I could hear her perfectly every time she spoke!  I got all excited and had Molly switch spots with me to prove that I wasn't crazy and even she was like WOW!  You can hear everything!  Our waiter came over because we were laughing a lot and wanted to know what was going on.  We tried to explain to him how we could hear the lady across the restaurant and he didn't seem to understand so Molly said, "Here, sit down…" and he like freaked out because apparently it's very improper and he ran away! HAHAHA it was really funny.  Then later he came back over and Molly asked if it was a family run/owned restaurant because he was younger than the older guy so we figured it could be his dad and when he said no, I blurted out, "So that's not your dad?" and he said, "Are you kidding me?"  It was super super funny.  We laughed a lot and it was very enjoyable.  When we were about to leave the waiter came back with directions back to the restaurant and he gave it so us saying, "From my dad" :) Haha it was super funny that he actually played along.  I love FLORENCE! :)
