Day 5-Firenze!-Tuesday-2/1/11

Wow! I have officially been here one week and it feels like it's been so much longer because I have already seen and experience a ton! No regrets here I am having the time of my life :) Woo who!  Woke up this morning at 7:30am went down to breakfast, back up to get ready, and down again to walk to school.  It was another gorgeous morning with the sun shining and walk along the river :)  Bet you MN kids are jealous ;) lol I heard you received a bit of snow yesterday… :( I'm sorry!  Lol I was wearing my thin leather jacket and perfectly content at 8:30am this morning he he.  Although, I have to say at night it does get pretty chilly with the wind… Anyways school was great and went by super fast, as I mentioned previous I'm learning a ton and not afraid to volunteer :D  Woo! So not like me!  After class we got pizza for lunch and I got ZUCHINNI PIZZA!! It was awesome!  Who knew?!  After lunch we walked around awhile again just browsing shops, a couple girls were looking for straighteners and I was looking for a converter, but sad to say I still have not found one.  To be honest, I haven't been looking that hard until today because everyone seems to wear their hair natural here which is really different.  I have a love hate relationship with that… my hair doesn't always cooperate.  After that we dropped our school bags at the hotel and ran back to school for our tour of the Academia Museum where the David is located and let me tell you first hand it is breath taking!  I am sad they don't allow pictures because it would definitely be sweet if I could show you what I mean.  The tour guide we were with told us all about it and pointed out the flaws which was really cool because if I would have just seen it on my own I probably would have never noticed anything wrong with it!  After that we went to dinner at a local restaurant called Giubbe Rosse.  It was me, Molly, and Brian.  We shared bruschetta to start and it was melt in your mouth amazing the tomatoes were super fresh, I can't even explain it!  After that I talked to the chef because he happened to be walking by and asked him for recommendations on what to order.  I ended up getting Pennette di Mare or penne noodles with seafood :)  It had fresh tomato, a light olive oil, octopus, shrimp, and clams and it was delicious!  I also enjoyed some house red wine with it and after the meal I had a slice of chocolate cake! YUM! Just what I needed to finish off the perfect italiano meal :)  After dinner I walked back to the hotel and showered.  The perfect relaxer after a long day of walking all over town.  Now I'm just catching all of you followers up with my day and soon I'll be off to bed!
Me and My Zucchinni Pizza :)

Not the real David the real one is a million times taller, bigger, and waaay better!
