Day 39- Roma!-Monday-3/7/11

Holy cow this trip is going by so fast!  I can't believe my birthday is already in a week and that Becky will be here this Saturday!  It's crazy!  I woke up this morning and it was a beautiful day out :)  I was really happy because it was an awesome change from last week when it rained all week long.  I took the bus to school and had my Italian mafia class then a long break between classes before my night class at 5pm.

I went and grabbed lunch with Jodine and Molly panini's and vegetables :)  After lunch Molly and I walked over to Piazza Navona which is a cute square near our school that has two fountains.  We sat there for awhile, but I ended up getting cold because even though the sun was out, the wind made it pretty chilly.  I had planned to meet up with Zach and Emily to study for my quiz in my night class anyways, so I left the square and head back to the school to begin studying for my test.

I have been really into my book, Angels and Demons, so it was really hard to put that down and open a textbook :(  I did it though and ended up studying for a good three hours.  Yes, everyone, I still do study here and I'm being a good student ;)  Haha it's not always food, fun & games!

I studied up until class and I think I did pretty well.  I was the second one done, Zach was the first, and Emily the third.  Haha I think that says something about the rest of our class and their study abilities.  Our teacher said after our quiz we would break for twenty minutes to give everyone enough time to finish so Zach, Emily, and I headed to Della Palma, my favorite gelato place, for a treat to reward us for studying all day and taking the quiz.

We went back to class and began reviewing right away for the mid-term which is next Monday, my birthday, yay…. Not.  I have two huge mid-terms on my birthday, how awful is that?!  Can't a girl catch a break? ;)  Well, it will make my birthday night that much better, I suppose it would be worse to have them the morning after my birthday, so in a way, I'm kind of lucky :)

After class I was still pretty exhausted from our weekend of traveling so Molly and I made Pasta Gricia (the bacon pasta I learned how to make in my cooking class) for dinner and after dinner I laid down and ended up falling asleep for the night at about 9-9:30ish until morning.
